The study of civic identity is an urgent problem of the state policy implementation. An important component of researching this problem is to identify the in-group, which includes civil identity orientation. Recent empirical studies of the in-group in Russia were conducted in the early 2000’s, so it is important to consider it taking into account the current material. The microanalysis is conducted with the use of the free association method. The results were analyzed according to the frequency of occurrence of the concept in the respondents’ answers, and according to the emergence of the concept rank. “Russia” and “Russians” are among the concepts proposed for the association of concepts by the in-group. Abstract
Prominent linguists not only from Russia, but also from near and far abroad, took part in the International Round table organized by the Bulletin of the Moscow Region State University (e-journal). Among them: L.V. Ratsiburskaya (Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky), O.S. Issers (Omsk State University named after F.I. Dostoevsky), I.P. Zaitseva (Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, the Republic of Belarus), J. Sipko (Prešov University, Slovakia), M.V. Radchenko (the University of Zadar, Croatia), E.M. Markova (Moscow Region State University). The scientists raised the problems of word creation, especially the problems dealing with the word-formation of occasionalisms, as well as the word-derivation of anthroponyms and verbs. Besides, the issues of semantic novations and phraseological transformations characteristic for mass media editions were discussed. It is ascertained that many neologisms, occasionalisms, and transforms are replicated and popularized by mass media, thus penetrating into the consciousness and language of the speakers, acquiring the status of “solecisms” - the legalized linguistic liberties and deviations from the norm.
