Abstract
The article discusses the main features of the Russian revolution of 1917 as a reflection of the crisis of the Russian culture. The author believes that the spiritual and cultural causes that led Russia into the revolution of 1917 were unique and purely Russian, and they, in the final analysis, provoked the revolution. The Russian revolution became possible only because the everyday life of people lacked traditional life foundations, as they had been shattered by nihilism. Nihilistic outlook first captured the intelligentsia and then the whole nation. The article substantiates the conclusion that the tragic experience of the Russian revolution of 1917 has shown it is necessary to make all political, social and cultural forces of the country be aware of the lessons of those historic events. And the most important of those lessons is: to cherish national historical memory, to value the spiritual culture of the people, to strengthen the moral foundations of the society without allowing religious schisms and disasters.

Abstract
This article examines the main directions of the moral inversion of Russian liberalism, understood as a change in the attitude of the leaders of the Russian liberal of the political camp to the problem of linking politics and morality in post-Soviet Russia. The author believes that as a result of the reforms carried out, ideas about the individual criteria of the person’s moral integrity, both in relation to an average citizen and in relation to a representative of the power elite, were violated. Modesty, responsibility for words and actions, concern for the neighbor, did not fit into the liberal order of reforms. The conclusion is substantiated that for a significant part of citizens the idea of lifting restrictions, including moral ones, was actualized from a person striving to achieve personal success in politics and economy.

Abstract
The article deals with the essential characteristics of modern financial capitalism and suggests the author’s vision of the socio-political consequences of financial “domination”. The logic of the tendencies of financialization traced in the article gives grounds to assert that the way out of the created social and economic impasse lies in the plane of post-capitalistic social reality. The crisis phenomena generated by the financial stage of capitalism development are systemic by nature and can’t be overcome within the framework of the previous model of the world order. The coincidence of development vectors of the two processes that are different in nature: the objective one is globalization and the subjective - financial globalization, actualizes the general risks of transition to a qualitatively more advanced stage of social development.

Abstract
The article stresses that the political practice of Russian socialism bases both on the theory of Marxism, which is western in its origin, and on the cultural code of Eastern Christianity, deeply rooted in the social psychology of the Russians, especially peasants. Not any outlook and not any ideology functions in ordinary consciousness in its entirety, but reduces to one or two ideas, suitable for practical everyday needs for the “unschooled mind”. In Orthodoxy such a reduced idea is the idea of justice. The development of Russian capitalism, by the turn of the 1890-1900s years, gradually led the mass consciousness to the conclusion that there was radical injustice in the existing social order- and it was radically changed in the process of the social revolution of 1917.

Abstract
The paper analyses key characteristics of perceiving politics by the Muslims in different regions of Russia. This study shows that the Muslims’ interest to politics is higher on average compared to the all-Russian index. They consider politics to be a tool of solving important social problems Despite the fact that the Islamic identification is not so important for the voters as the other motifs of political behavior, its role is rising definitely. The article shows that this situation is, on the one hand, due to the fact that Muslims’ reaction to the negative image of Islam in mass media makes them consolidate and become more politized. On the other hand, the search of principles of equitable social order in the Russian transitive society transits to the attempts to make Muslim institutions of self-organization more politized.

The article covers the issues of large social groups’ participation in the Russian revolution of 1917. Besides, the class character of the Revolution, the age and national factor are mentioned, as well as the issue of peasantry participation. The author comes to the conclusion that it is wrong to interpret the Russian revolution of 1917 as a purely class conflict. On the basis of the analysis the author draws the following conclusions: 1. at different stages of the revolution large social groups were involved into active revolutionary actions. 2. Despite there is some similarity between the Bolsheviks’ technologies of capturing the power and the “coloured revolutions”, the author notes certain difference between the phenomena, as in 1917 the demand for the changes (including the radical ones) was supported by the majority of the Russian society and that ensured the encouragement necessary for the Bolsheviks’ victory.

Abstract
The paper analyzes the attitude of foreign poets of the XX-XXI centuries to the October revolution. In the years of Perestroika there is an explicit negation of its image in famous rock-texts by Yuri Shevchuk, Boris Grebenshikov, Alexander Bashlachjov. In 2010s modern poets of the “left” and “right-wing” journals show multidirectional viewpoint on glorifying and rejecting the revolutionary ideals. And yet the motif of intense consideration about the tragic history of Russia becomes central to the perception of the revolutionary past, which is certainly beneficial for the Russian national self-consciousness.
