Abstract

The article deals with social economic factors of terrorism, as well as with the impact of terrorism on the economic development of the territories. The authors review attempts of different scientists to establish connections between various factors, such as: the material well-being of the population, education level, urbanization, and terrorist activity. Much attention is given to several mathematical models, which are regarded as possible mechanisms for predicting the dynamics of terrorist activity or indicators of social economic indices dependency on the number of terrorist attacks, or their victims.
