WEBQUEST AS A TYPE OF PROJECT WORK AND ITS USE IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract

The paper analyses the definitions of “webquest” available in Russian and English pedagogical literature. Attempts have been made to classify webquests and identify their status among other pedagogical techniques. The author of the study refers webquest to a special kind of project work realized by means of the Internet. The advantages of webquest are considered in teaching foreign language within communicative approach. The formation of key competences through project work is analyzed.
