Abstract

The solution of “women’s problems” in 1920s was fulfilled in favour of the state, accomplishing a task of economic modernization of the country. With the aim of women’s working and political mobilization, women organizations and meetings of delegates were created. Although the efforts of the Soviet regime to free a woman from doing the house-work were made, the traditional image of a woman as a mother, wife and mistress remained in daily life.
