Abstract

The article is devoted to the views of A.I. Solzhenitsyn on the February Revolution of 1917. His work “Reflections on the February Revolution”, written in 1980-1983, is in the center of the analysis. Besides, the explanation for why it was published in 2007 is also scrutinized. Particular attention is paid to the logic of the development of journalistic thought of the writer. As he stated that the February Revolution was the largest event of the twentieth century not only for Russia, but for the whole world. Solzhenitsyn examined the nature of the February revolution, the role of the liberal circles, and the renunciation of Nicholas II. Other Solzhenitsyn’s journalistic articles, in which the concept of February finds its further deepening, are also considered.
