https://doi.org/10.18384/2224-0209-2023-2-1317

Abstract

Aim. To reveal the essence, content, goals, tasks and methods of operational combinations of American intelligence services associated with a series of statements by W. Burns (“Kiev in three days”) and S. Hersh (“undermining the Nord Stream pipelines”).

Methodology. The study was carried out using the methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization and interpretation of the results.

Results. It has been established that, according to their scheme and style of execution, “Kyiv in three days” (an operation carried out by the US special services against Russia on the eve of the Special Military Operation) and the series of statements made by S. Hersh about the Nord Streams are operational combinations of the US intelligence services that fully fit into their basic organizational and technological scheme, which appeared in American intelligence in 2015 - immediately after the Panama Papers. The methods and techniques to carry out the covert management, which include the technique of "management of expectations”, were identified in the course of the study.

Research implications. Information about the latest forms and methods of organizing and conducting information operations can be used in the work of state bodies responsible for organizing the systemic counteraction to the information aggression of foreign states, and will also be useful to political scientists, political technologists and specialists in countering destructive political technologies.
