Abstract
The article presents the analysis of the stages of economic potential development of industrial enterprises on the example of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The author analyses the approaches to the content of the enterprises' economic potential according to five stages of development from administrative-planned economy to the modern stage of increasing globalization. The article defines the main problems to be solved by the Republic's industrial enterprises due to the necessity of increasing their economic potential.
