MATHEMATICS AS A VARIETY OF WAYS OF QUANTITATIVE PERCEPTION OF THE WORLD

Abstract
The article considers Mathematics both as a cultural phenomenon and as a person's attitude to the real world. Besides, it is considered as a phenomenon of many-way quantitative perception. Ethnomathematics being taken as an example, it is shown that the human mind can offer billions of quantitative methods of perception of the world. It is stated that our mathematical paradigm is in fact just one of the many possible paradigms and is in direct dependence on the realities of our life. Attention is drawn to the limitations of social and cultural approach to mathematical cognition.
