Abstract
The aim of the article is to analyze the results of the empirical research of psychological determinants of professional experience formation of an officer of a District Department of Internal Affairs. The highest components of the officer's personality structure are formed and developed in the process of training and gaining practical experience. On the basis of generalization of the obtained results it is proved that the formation of professional experience in the structure of a personality is interconnected with such qualities as: the ability to generalize, educability, memory development, numerical abilities, ability to abstracting, general awareness, ability to judgment and reasoning, as well as combinatorial thinking. The formation of experience is promoted by mental tolerance, courage, dominance and complete readiness for action. As the professional experience is being formed the manifestations of unproductive communicative settings, aggressiveness and hostility are brought down. Besides, the experience determines the increase of self-confidence.
