EVIDENTIAL SUBJECTIVE MODALITY

Abstract
The subject of the article is evidential subjective modality and its correlations with
other semantic categories: personality, subjectivity and others. The author describes the
linguistic means with which evidential subjective modality is refl ected in modern Russian.
Among them there are parenthetical words, parenthetical sentences, evidential particles,
modal phraseological units and conjunctions. The author states that evidential subjective
modality is important in debates, polemics and scientifi c discourse.
