https://doi.org/10.18384/2224-0209-2019-4-983

Abstract

The article considers the Chinese media through the discourse, ideology and language linked together. The investigation question: to what extent the Chinese media form the political reality in China today. As a methodological key the author has chosen two approaches: the CDA (critical discourse analysis) by N. Fairclough and historical discourse-method by R. Wodak. Using the analytical procedure of the CDA-approaches the author demonstrates the discursive practices of the Chinese media singling out concrete ideological effects on the example of two cases - foreign and domestic political ones. The author implements new research on political discourse and shows the new aspect of the use of the discourse-technologies to the interpretation of the ideological content of the Chinese media texts.
