INTEGRATION FEATURES OF PRECEDENT SCIENTIFIC TEXTS INTO AN INTRODUCTORY TEXT BLOCK

Abstract
Aim. To consider integration strategies for precedent texts into a scientific article to combat plagiarism and increase an article uniqueness.
Methodology. Texts from scientific journals on the problems of astrophysics, cosmology, ecology, gender in business, and artificial intelligence are analyzed. When conducting the analysis, general scientific methods of description, analysis, synthesis, and comparison were used, as well as the pragmatic analysis of precedent texts in terms of the illocutionary force of utterances.
Results. Based on the study of texts of various thematic focuses, it was revealed that the strategies for integrating old information into a scientific text are universal and do not depend on the subject matter. Proposals to reduce the percentage of plagiarism in scientific papers by using strategies such as evaluation, commenting, and specifying the illocutionary force of an utterance were made.
Research implications. The results of the study can be effectively used in the process of reviewing scientific texts and writing a linguistics graduation thesis.
