TRANSFORMATION OF TEACHERS' REPRESENTATIONS OF THE PHENOMENON OF SOCIAL AND PEDAGOGICAL NEGLECT

Abstract
Aim. To study educators’ views on the essence and predominant manifestations of social and educational neglect in different social development periods.
Methodology. Empirical research was based on the method of online questioning with subsequent quality and content analysis of the results.
Results. The educators’ views on the essence of social and educational neglect is consistent with its contemporary scientific understanding, while the views on its main manifestations in different periods of social development are completely different.
Research implications. This study contributes to understanding of social and educational neglect as a complex social-psychological phenomenon that dynamically changes in the process of social development. The study results can be used to determine the best targets of preventive impact and increase the effectiveness of prevention of social and pedagogical neglect in the educational space.
