https://doi.org/10.18384/2224-0209-2022-3-1132

Abstract

Aim. The article considers cognitive-hermeneutic models as a means to identify dominant concepts in a literary text.

Methodology. The article examines the method of cognitive hermeneutic modeling within the process of dominant concepts identification in literary texts. The comparison of this method with the method of sample searching is given; within the theory of text worlds, the method of cognitive-hermeneutic modeling gives much more accurate results in searching for a concept representants.

Results. The article presents several concepts which could only be identified by applying the method of cognitive hermeneutic modeling.

Research implications. The implementation of cognitive hermeneutic modeling together with the method of continuous sampling of lexical units can provide more accurate results in identification of the lexical units included in the nominative fields of artistic concepts.
