Анализируется становление политологии как самостоятельной образовательной дисциплины, значение преподавания политических предметов в высшем образовании США в целом. На основе анализа содержания учебных курсов высших учебных заведений представлены выводы об отличительных чертах различных этапов развития политической теории в политологии как образовательной дисциплине. Представлены выводы о специфике преподавания политической теории в США.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article analyzes the process of changing the status of theoretical knowledge of politics in the system of higher education in the United States since the XVIIth century up till now. The author studies the process of political science development as an academic discipline; and the importance of teaching political subjects in the USA universities. On the basis of the US higher education institutions curricula the author makes conclusions about the specificities of different stages of political theory and political science development.
