В статье предложен анализ основных тенденций развития образования в США в XX в. Автор выделяет такие тенденции, как: смена ведущей педагогической парадигмы, создание новых экспериментальных школ, повышение качества образования, увеличение количества частных платных средних общеобразовательных и профессиональных школ, возрастание финансирования системы образования за счёт средств государственного бюджета и других источников. Проводятся параллели с развитием образовательной системы в России.
The article offers the analysis of the main trends in the development of education in the United States in the XXth century. The author distinguishes such trends as: the shift of the leading pedagogical paradigm, the creation of new experimental schools, the improvement of the quality of education, the increase of the number of private fee-paying secondary general education and vocational schools, the increased funding for education from the state budget and other sources. The author draws parallels with the development of the educational system in Russia.
