В статье делается попытка раскрыть внутренние связи, формирующие содержательный, композиционный и структурный фундамент поэмы «Беовульф». С этой целью функциональная смысловая зависимость анализируется на двух её уровнях - поверхностном и глубинном, где она представлена в трёх своих ведущих типах: начинательном, ключевом, итоговом. Каждый из них, будучи единым по выражению основных компонентов (идеи, голоса автора и степени психологического влияния на реципиента), представляет эти компоненты на глубинном и поверхностном уровнях по-разному. Рассматривая текст поэмы в свете сюжетной перспективы, выявлен ведущий по выражению идеи автора тип - ключевой, которому принадлежит лидирующее место, в связи с чем он оказывается неизменным. Два остальных типа - начинательный и итоговый - выступают в субординации к нему.
The article deals with the attempt to reveal the inner ties which constitute the semantic, compositional and structural foundation of the poem “Beowulf". With this respect the Functional Semantic Dependence (FSD) is analyzed on its surface and deep levels where it is represented in three main types: initial; basic; final. Each of them being unique in rendering the leading components (idea, author's voice and the degree of psychological influence on the reader or listener), expresses them differently depending on the level of FSD. Applying the plot perspective to the interpretation of the text it was found out that the basic type occupies the leading position in expressing the idea on both levels, while the initial and final types are subordinate to it.
