<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The review gives modern scientific data on the role of physical activity in preventive maintenance and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It is shown that regular physical activity influences health and labor productivity positively. These effects are easily predicted, depend on the amount of physical activity, and are suitable for a wide range of persons. The authors present the data on the changes of the NO levels, free radical levels and the inhibitors of free radicals in cells. Besides, there is information about the molecular processes in endothelium and muscles (such as high level of metabolism of phosphates and lowered expression of NAD(P)H oxidaze), depending on the intensity of the physical exercises which show the decrease of oxidative stress at moderate physical activity. Recommendations on programming the exercises for the persons suffering from various cardiovascular diseases are presented.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>физическая активность</kwd><kwd>сердечно-сосудистые заболевания</kwd><kwd>профилактика</kwd><kwd>молекулярные процессы</kwd><kwd>оксидативный стресс</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>physical activity</kwd><kwd>cardiovascular disease prevention</kwd><kwd>molecular processes</kwd><kwd>oxidative stress</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Adams V., Linke A., Krankel N, Erbs S., Gielen S., Mobius-Winkler S., et al.
