Цель. Определить содержание понятия «экстремизм» и провести сравнительный анализ противодействия экстремизму в Великобритании, Германии и Франции.Процедура и методы. В статье анализируются теоретические аспекты и основные подходы отечественных и зарубежных исследователей к содержанию понятия «экстремизм». Применяются метод структурно-функционального подхода, сравнительный метод, сравнительно-правовой метод, метод системного подхода.Результаты. Проведённый анализ показал, что в рассматриваемых странах отсутствует единое правовое определение экстремизма, а подходы к противодействию варьируются. В Великобритании экстремизм определяется через оппозицию базовым ценностям, в Германии акцент делается на превентивные и профилактические меры, во Франции – на жёсткий контроль интернет-контента при фрагментированном законодательстве. Установлено, что общей тенденцией для этих стран являются ориентация на международные стандарты и сочетание превентивных мер с репрессивными.Теоретическая и практическая значимость. Обобщён европейский опыт противодействия экстремизму. Сформулированы предложения по совершенствованию международного сотрудничества в этой сфере, включая развитие адаптационных программ для молодёжи, повышение эффективности контроля в информационном пространстве и создание позитивного контента.

Aim. To define the concept of extremism and provide a comparative analysis of countering extremism in the UK, Germany, and France. Methodology. The article analyses the theoretical aspects and main approaches of domestic and foreign researchers to the content of the extremism concept. The method of structural-functional approach, comparative method, comparative legal method, and the method of the system approach are applied.Results. The analysis showed that there is no single legal definition of extremism in the countries under consideration, and approaches to countering it vary. In the UK, extremism is defined through opposition to basic values, in Germany the emphasis is on preventive and preventive measures, in France – on strict control of Internet content with fragmented legislation. It has been established that the general trend is towards international standards and a combination of preventive and repressive measures.Research implications. The article summarizes the foreign experience of countering extremism. Proposals have been formulated to improve international cooperation, including the development of adaptation programs for young people, improving the effectiveness of control in the information space and creating positive content.
